13-14 November - Final conference CISMOB Aveiro, Portugal


The final conference of the project "Cooperative information platform for low carbon and sustainable mobility - CISMOB" and a technical working meeting, took place on November 13-14, 2019 at Aveiro University in Portugal.

The Association of Inter-Community Development for Public Transport Bucharest-Ilfov (ADI TPBI) and ITS Romania are the Romanian partners, together with institutions from Portugal, Spain, Sweden.

Given the role of the Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Development Agency in supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy, it was invited to join the CISMOB project as stakeholder, by participating in the proceedings of the final conference.

CISMOB main vision is to promote innovative ways to reduce carbon footprint and increase the sustainability of urban areas by improving the efficiency in the use of urban transport infrastructure through ICT - Intelligent Transport Systems. The project runs for a period of 48 months, respectively April 1, 2016- March 31, 2020, currently being in the last semester of development.

13 projects regarding the modernization and purchase of surface transport means (100 electric buses and 100 trams) were contracted through Regional Operational Programme 2014-2020 in Bucharest-Iflov.
